In year 2 we are developing our understanding of what it means to be a good learner and positive member of our class. We have written our own class rules and the children have signed an agreement to say that they will stick to these.
To help everyone become more of a resilient, independent learner, we use the 3B4ME approach. The children have to do three things before they ask an adult for help: brain (use your brain to think about the question/problem again), book or blocks (use classroom resources), buddy (ask your talk partner, or other people on your table).
We enjoy learning through shared experiences such as visiting our local church, weighing ingredients to create our own meals at Wagamama, welcoming the fire service into our classroom to learn about staying safe or developing our observational and artistic skills and giving one another feedback on our artwork.
