Welcome to Beech Class!

We are Year 2 and Year 3 children, and our teachers are Mrs Elson and Mrs McSloy

In Beech class, children are encouraged to be independent, resilient, and considerate learners as they move between key stage 1 and key stage 2. We enjoy celebrating the curiosity, creativity and imagination of our pupils and ensure that there are regular opportunities for everyone to share successful strategies and positive experiences that can help improve our learning and our well-being.

Home Learning

Please download the "reading at home" document for information about the school's recommended approach to reading at home for year 2 and year 3 children. The document references the go read app, which should be used to record your children's reading. Please email the school admin if you mislay your child's log in code.

Archived phonics videos from lockdown are still online. To access these, download the PDF of links below.

Term 5 spellings

New spelling lists will be available at the beginning of each week. Please download and choose the appropriate spelling learning challenge for your child. Instead of weekly spelling tests, learning will be assessed continually through children's application of their spellings in their written work.

Term 5 lists will remain available during Term 6. Please let me know if you would like lists from earlier terms.

Children can consolidate their spelling, grammar and punctuation by visiting these websites:
